Plot B. Consists of :-

and were purchased by the Secretary of State for War
from Sir C. P. Chater in 1883 for $20,000. The Crown
Rents have not been paid for many years, and they do
not appear to have been capitalized.
Plot C. Consists of Inland Lot 74, 175 x 220 38,500 sq. ft.
and is, I gather, the area now used by the Royal Army
Service Corps stores. It was resumed and paid for
by Colonial Government prior to 1889. I have no record
that War Department ever paid the Colonial Government
for this.
Inland Lot 37, 277 x 100, came between Plot C and Plot D.
This was cancelled in 1848. Later plans of the City
shew it as Royal Engineers Workshops.
Plot D. was apparently formerly known as Section A of Inland
Lot 73. The Land Office records shew that it was
purchased by Colonial Government for $34,000. from
the Crown Lessee.
Plot E. was formerly Inland Lot 77, 102 x 35.
